The 1921 census shows him living at 26 Hill Street with his mother and his three sisters Mary (12), Bessie (10) and Constance (8). He was 5.
In 1939 the census shows he lived at 26 Hill Street, Carnforth with his wife Mary Elsie Nee Wren who he married at Kendal in 1936. They had three sons at the time of his death, Colin born in 1941. His mother died in 1962.
He died of his wounds
He was the son of James Walkden who died in WW1 and is also remembered on the Carnforth War Memorial.
