Born 6 November 1918, son of James Hargreaves and Mary Hunt nee Stephens Stott .
1921 Census shows that he lived at 132 Kellet Road, Carnforth with his sister Hilda Lona (aged 1). It shows that both parents were alive, however, his father is not at the address on the day of the census. His parents also had Ida Lily in 1923
He married 1941 to Olive Mary and moved to 18 Moore Street, Kirkham, Lancashire
He was registered as a Prisoner of War by the Japanese at Port Dickson.
